Thermos Stainless King 40 Ounce Beverage Bottle
$22.95During all of our time at home during the pandemic, I’ve taken to brewing coffee at home exactly how I like it. Previously, when I was physically at work, I viewed coffee as more utilitarian. My coworkers and I shared coffee responsibilities, and when I was first in, I went for a simple and quick brew. At home though, I experimented with the amount of water and coffee to my exact preference, and even started adding some cinnamon directly to the grounds.
Now that everyone has been increasing their office presences, I decided to continue my home brewing. I’ll still make the office pot if I get into the office first, but I can’t shake the coffee method I’ve settled into. Because of this development, I needed a way to transport my big ol’ cup of coffee to the office and become a mobile coffee guy. Enter the Thermos Stainless King.
I did quite a bit of online research and comparison before settling on the Stainless King. Just look at the Amazon reviews for this one; 4.6 stars, 9800 reviews. That’s pretty solid in my book. My experience so far as been really excellent. Be aware though, it really is huge. It’s 12 inches tall and 3.6 wide, and I only end up filling it up about halfway. But it does have a nice handle and doesn’t spill at all when I’m transporting it.
The hype Thermos has for how cool or hot it keeps beverages is pretty accurate. I actually don’t care if my coffee get cool, but if that’s important to you, this will do it. By the time I get to work and get into the coffee, it still seems every bit as hot as it was when it was brewed. If I come across any damage, leaks, rust, or other such things I will certainly update this review. So far so good.

THERMOS vacuum insulation technology virtually eliminates temperature change within the beverage container by creating an airless space between two stainless steel walls. The result is an insulation layer that performs better than any other. A superior insulated container you can depend on to keep your beverages hotter, colder, fresher, longer.
This beverage bottle keeps beverages hot or cold for 24 hours, making it a great choice for wherever life’s adventures may take you. Constructed with double wall stainless steel, this 40 ounce beverage bottle is durable, yet its sleek design is both eye-catching and functional. The specially designed twist and pour stopper lets you pour without having to remove the stopper completely. A simple twist is enough to allow liquids to flow out.
This beverage bottle comes equipped with its own built-in, insulated stainless steel serving cup, so there is no need to pack an additional cup. The bottle also features a compact, fold-flat handle for easy carrying that also provides increased stability and handling when pouring. Top of the line construction and rubber gaskets keep this bottle leak-proof and because of the double wall insulation, the stainless steel body stays cool to the touch with hot beverages and condensation-free with cold beverages.
In order to maximize the incredible insulation technology, it is recommended to either pre-chill or pre-heat the beverage bottle just prior to use. This can be accomplished by filling the beverage bottle with cold or hot tap water, attaching the lid and letting it rest for a few minutes. Before you are ready to use, simply empty the water and fill with your favorite beverage. Attaching the lid will further increase the thermal efficiency. Do not put stopper in boiling water. It will to deformation or leaking
An update to this: I’ve been using this Thermos to bring my coffee to work for over two years now. It has been such a great purchase! It’s held up incredibly well, and definitely deserves a spot in the “Best of the Best” list (if there was such a thing) for things I’ve reviewed.
A couple notes – I’ve been handwashing this the entire time. I know someone who also has one of these, and he’s been cleaning his in the dishwasher. His Thermos has held up too, but he has used some sort of lowered heat/steam setting that I am not as familiar with.
Also, originally I mentioned this was probably too big. I have changed my mind – it’s actually nice to have the extra room for coffee creamer, or if I accidentally make too large a pot.
